Sanur Beach

Like lot of empty space and a wide sand strip here it is.

All water-sports such as scuba diving snorkeling and other? That’s the place to go. There is another positive feature it is accessible by the motorway. Nightlife is much less than in Kuta and better don’t go on a drinking trip there and come back to Sanur after it might become uncomfortable. The police is very busy to make another income source that way. 


Although this seems to be the oldest part developed to tourism with plenty of restaurants, resorts and hotels the ambiance is relaxed and not busy at all. Therefor this is an excellent family destination with plenty of space and a boardwalk in between with many places inviting to sit down and listen to the waves and the wind. 

Further out are some reefs producing just the right waves for surf beginner.

Several surf and scuba diving courses are available. What makes the whole appealing is prices are still in the affordable region which won’t get your wallet drained too quickly in particular for family vacation. To the right of this page is a short clip about Sanur Seafront.

In July a Kite Festival bring thousands of people from the region in and have them fly to make “good mood” at the Hindu gods for a good time. You can book some diving courses in the hotels and resorts and enjoy the underwater water colors since there are still enough fishes and other sea creatures around but leave them alone better get them grilled in the evening.
